Eskom Pebble Bed Modular Reactor Demonstration Power Plant EIA



GIBB was appointed by Eskom Holdings Limited to undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and compile an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the proposed 400MW(t) Pebble Bed Modular Reactor Demonstration Power Plant (PBMR DPP) in the Cape region, South Africa.


The services provided include:
  • Management, interpretation and consolidation of specialist studies, including geology, hydrology, oceanography, ecology, air quality, archaeology, socio-economics, meteorology, and marine biology
  • Facilitation and management of an extensive public participation  process involving client, industry, government and private stakeholders
