Kanetvlei - Hex River Pass: Overlay


Special maintenance (repair and resurfacing) of a portion of Section 3 of National Route 1 (km 18.18 to km 48.4).  The project comprised the patching and BRA overlaying of the existing road surface except the steep inclined section up the Pass being overlaid with conventional asphalt overlay in the slow lane.  In addition three bridge repairs (new joints), three intersection upgrades and 2 kms of new climbing lanes were constructed.
