The Maintenance & Rehabilitation of Roads in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality



The project is to design and administrate the maintenance and/or rehabilitation of identified roads within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM).  Preliminary design consisted of identifying roads that is poor to severe conditions and to provide priority rating (based on strategic importance, traffic requirements and current conditions) for roads within the selected area that requires maintenance and/or rehabilitation. The client has identified a number of priority area’s and has requested an implementation plan with preliminary design proposals to various areas.  The detail design consists of selected material testing, detailed measurements of preparation work, work drawings include line markings, work clustering, construction programming and final cost for each selected road/group or area.

Construction administration and site supervision services is provided over a 17 months period.
