Moses Mabhida Station





Design and Construction of a new commuter rail station adjacent with associated railway infrastructure changes for the establishment of  Moses Mabhida Station adjacent to Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The station has been designed to provide an effective train service for daily commuter use and for use by spectators during events within the Sporting Precinct. Key considerations has included the use of modern technology and provisions for Special Needs Passengers.

The project included the design and construction related to railway infrastructure changes to facilitate the operation of the train service from the new station. This included all perway, rail electrification and railway signalling changes.
