Sikhuphe Airport





The location of the site is at the new Sikhuphe International Airport, about 35 to 40 km east of Manzini, in Swaziland.  The project comprises the design and construction administration of the Code E new runway asphalt and related layerworks and also for the concrete apron and a Code D ICAO compliant concrete taxilane and asphalt link taxiway to the runway for the Royal Terminal at Sikhuphe International Airport in Swaziland (including the installation of centreline lighting and all electrical cabling and ducting associated with the lighting).  It also includes the construction of a parking lot behind the Royal Terminal building. Although this is a design and construct contract and the engineer is being paid through the contractor’s certificate, STCS/GIBB JV were appointed by the Swaziland Government as the Engineer to carry out the design, construction monitoring and contract administration.
