South African women in rail and safety

GIBB, South Africa’s leading black-owned engineering consulting firm is commended for their gender equity in training and equal pay.
Dr Urishanie Govender confirmed a ratio of 1:1 across 49 unique job categories for GIBB’s Average Annual Package per Employee Code for the past four year financial periods.
She also indicated that, on average the hours of training for men was comparable to the hours of training attended by women.
GIBB has a strong A-Player Performer culture and training is aligned to the comprehensive talent management plans of the firm and the individual development plans of individuals.
The GIBB track record for recognising women on par with their male counterparts within an engineering environment is indeed commendable
