GIBB’s responsibilities included technical consulting on the bankable feasibility study.

Jinja, Uganda

GIBB’s Responsibilities:
GIBB’s involvement was to design and supervise the refurbishment of the main dam at Nalubaale Power Station. The scope of the task consisted of refurbishment of the main dam.

Design and implementation of the grouting (the action to reduce or stop leakage through the dam body) required designing the grouting works, reviewing the technical specifications of the contract for the works, and where relevant, proposing modifications.

Further responsibilities were crack repair works of the main dam to improve the structural and functional integrity of the dam structure. GIBB was responsible for design, quality, time and cost control over the life of the project and supervision of the grouting works.

GIBB was appointed by the Civil Aviation Authority in Uganda for the Gulu and Kasese Airports Master Planning, geometric design, pavement engineering, airfield navigational systems, drainage and stormwater engineering, air traffic forecasting and land use planning.
