Selected Project Experience
Client:
Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA)
Location:
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
GIBB’s Responsibilities:
Undertaken by Électricité de Franc (EDF), the project entailed the completion of the first 200 MW section of the 800 MW Dewa III facility, which is Phase III of the 1 GW Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.

GIBB’s Responsibilities:
SVAI, a subsidiary of GIBB, was appointed for the design of the Media City Hotel Dubai. The hotel was designed for a location within a development which will be known as the Innovation Hub, by the master developer, TECOM.
It is located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai Media City, directly opposite the Emaar Business Park. The Media City Hotel was the first project to be constructed within the Innovation Hub development.
The hotel was designed as a 5 star hotel with 235 keys, club level, ballroom, spa, gym and executive owner’s level. It has easy and convenient access to Abu Dhabi to the South and Dubai International Airport to the North.
